GRACE REINS EQUINE THERAPY: Who We Are

At Grace Reins, we weave healing and growth through the art of Equine Therapy, nestled in our serene sanctuary in Placerville, Colorado. Here, horses serve as empathetic mirrors, reflecting emotions and guiding participants toward self-discovery and empowerment, illuminating their true potential in a space free from judgment.

Our mission embraces all, especially those who lack access to traditional mental health care. With the gentle guidance of our eight Wild Mustangs, we foster trust, empathy, and resilience, transforming lives through the profound bond between human and horse. Join us in this journey of compassion, where every session opens doors to healing and hope.

Meet our Founder & Visionary, Erin Cain, Equine Specialist in Mental Health & Learning:

Erin Cain's life story is defined by a profound affinity for the healing power of horses, a connection that has resonated since her earliest memories. Growing up just outside bustling NYC, horses filled her heart and mind through posters, books, and dreams, though direct physical interaction remained elusive during her childhood. It wasn’t until a fortuitous encounter with a field of horses during an exploration in Connecticut in 1996 that Erin's journey converged with her lifelong passion. The discovery of High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center ignited her fascination with Equine Therapy, prompting Erin to pursue education and certifications in Therapeutic Riding and Equine Specialties in Mental Health.

Erin has always sensed the profound healing potential within horses, a belief that continues to unfold in ways that deeply resonate with her. The day she brought her first horse home marked a transformative moment, fostering a bond of trust and connection that she now endeavors to share with others. Witnessing firsthand the profound impact of equine companionship on individuals has become a cornerstone of Erin’s journey.
